Ideas Creation

Idea 1 - Corporate and Promotional for City College Norwich.

  • The basic Idea for the video would be to promote the Level 3 Creative Media course to students wishing to progress onto a vocational qualification. It will be almost a pop promo, also using testimonials from current students and an insight into life both in college and on the course.
  • The client for this video would be the course leader, in association with the college. The video would be for them to use at open days, to show interviewees and parents, or to post on their website/social media.
  • The service highlighted in the video would be the course that the college offers for free to students under the age of 19. It will highlight the unique learning environment on offer and the qualification students will achieve at the end of the course.
  • The potential audience will include young people from 16-19 who are interested in studying media at Level 3, their parents and teachers.

Idea 2 - Social and Community for Computing at School.

  • The basic idea for the video would be to raise awareness of teaching coding in secondary schools, and how very few numbers of girls are choosing to learn how to code as they feel it’s more aimed toward boys. It will also touch on how IT as a subject has been removed from school curriculum and has been replaced with computing.
  • The client for this video would be the Norfolk regional co-ordinator of Computing at School. The video would be for use on their website to raise awareness and interest other secondary school students and teachers alike in their free coding competitions and masterclasses.
  • The issue highlighted in the video will be the shortage of women working as professional coders, and will potentially show young girls how fun and interesting it is and recruit them to join the coding force.
  • The potential audience is young students from 11-16 years old (secondary school age) and staff from both schools and various computing companies around Norfolk.

Idea 3 - Corporate and Promotional for Quick Stitch.

  • The basic idea for the video would be to promote the Quick Stitch store in White Lion Street, Norwich. It would include testimonials from customers, will show the alteration process of some clothes and also inform audiences of their prices. They don’t have a website so the creation of one with a promotional video would be ideal to inform more consumers of their services.
  • The client for the video would be the manageress of the store, who is independently runs the store herself.
  • The service highlighted in the video will be their clothes alteration and dry cleaning services.
  • The potential audience for the video will be people of all ages, who possibly want their clothes altered or are interested in shopping and fashion.

Idea 4 - Social and Community for City Academy Norwich.

  • The basic idea for the video would be to promote and raise awareness of World Book Day and general reading, and the importance of literacy in schools. It would include a short video made by myself and students from CAN, and behind the scenes of the making of the short video, with interviews with teachers and students on why they feel the issue is important.
  • The client for the video would be Simon Rogers, a library and literacy assistant from City Academy Norwich.
  • The issue highlighted in the video will be the decline in students reading for fun, and will include a fun, pop promo video made by students promoting to their peers why they should read.
  • The potential audience for the video is secondary school students, their teachers, and those interested in education and literacy.
